Monalisa Gomes Perrone or Monalisa Perrone (November 12, 1969 in São Paulo) is a Brazilian journalist. She is a reporter and presenter for TV Globo.[1]

Biography

Daughter of two teachers. Monalisa graduated from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, during her studies, she worked as a clerk in a rental car to pay for her college tuition. She began working for radio Jovem Pan in 1992. After three years at the network, Monalisa joined Radio Bandeirantes as a reporter. Since March 1999, she now works for Globo which she had been operations manager and journalism. Between January 4 and March 19, 2010, Monalisa became the temporary presenter Bom Dia São Paulo when its main anchor Mariana Godoy was on vacation. That same year she received the award for Best Female Press reporter in the country. She is married and has 3 daughter. On October 31, 2011 in a live link that made the Jornal Hoje, was pushed by members of Merd TV group, which are anti-Globo, which made that the station would change the reporting scheme.

In 2014, she hosted the parades of samba schools of São Paulo[2] and at the end of this year, Monalisa become its first presenter for the new program, Hora Um da Notícia on Rede Globo, which is now shown at 5:00am.[3]
