Faido railway station (Switzerland) |
Faido is a railway station in the Swiss canton of Ticino and municipality of Faido. The station is on the Swiss Federal Railways Gotthard railway, on the southern ramp up to the Gotthard Tunnel.[1][2]
The station is served by an hourly InterRegio train between Arth-Goldau and Locarno, most of which start from either Basel SBB or Zürich HB. A small number of trains on line S10 of the Treni Regionali Ticino Lombardia (TILO) also operate between Airolo and Chiasso.[3]
The station is also served by bus services operated by Autopostale, including an hourly service between Bellinzona and Airolo that parallels the railway, together with other more local services.[4]
