Faris Shafi (born November 2, 1987), is a Pakistani rapper and actor from Lahore, Pakistan best known for his explicit songs.[1][2]
Life and career
Shafi was born in Lahore, Pakistan to Saba Hameed and Pervaiz Shafi Syed. He began his career as a television actor. He acted in the drama serial "Manjali" as ‘Ramis’ on Geo TV.[3][4] He gained popularity in 2012 by his debut explicit single "Awaam" featuring singer Mooroo.[5] The song became viral just after the release. In an interview to The Express Tribune Shafi said that he wrote about all the things our nation is being forced to go through every day.[6]
