In addition, countries without any forms of diplomatic representations in Singapore have accredited non-resident Ambassadors or High Commissioners to the island city-state.

As a result of the high cost of land rental Singapore due to the limited availabilities of land area in the compact city-state, many countries operates their Embassies and High Commissions in an office unit within an shopping and office apartment.
