Disney XD is a cable television channel and is an edition of The Walt Disney Company-owned Disney XD broadcasting to Latin America and the Caribbean. It was launched on November 8, 1996 as The Fox Kids Network. The network took on its current name on July 3, 2009. It is broadcast in five feeds: North Zone, Central Zone, Pacific Zone, South Zone, and Brazil Zone. It features male-focused series along with action, comedy and animated series.[1] It is marketed to boys, girl inclusive, ages 6 to 14. It is operated in the region by Disney & ESPN Media Networks and The Walt Disney Company Latin America, which are owned by The Walt Disney Company.

The channel launched on November 8, 1996 as Fox Kids. On July 31, 2004 it was rebranded as Jetix. In late-2008, The Walt Disney Company announced that they will be rebranding the Jetix channels around the world as "Disney XD" and on May 2009, the Latin American Disney branch eventually confirmed that Jetix will be rebranded as Disney XD. On July 3, 2009 the channel finally rebranded. On January 18, 2010 a Chilean feed was introduced, which also broadcast in Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador with the Chilean time on screen (UTC-4/3).

Disney XD Latin America is divided into five feeds for its broadcast, covering nearly all the South American continent, Mexico and the Caribbean:[2]

Series produced by Walt Disney Television Animation, Disney XD Original Series, Disney Channel Original Series and third-party television series take most of the schedule. Movies are also aired. These are the shows broadcast on Disney XD Latin America.[3]
