Francisco Cabañas Pardo (22 January 1912 – 26 January 2002) was a Mexican boxer. He competed in the flyweight class during the 1932 Summer Olympics and, although he lost the final against Hungarian István Énekes, he became the first Mexican athlete to ever win an Olympic medal.[1][2][3][4]

Francisco Cabañas nació en la Ciudad de México el 22 de enero de 1912. El boxeador se convirtió en el primer medallista mexicano de forma individual en Juegos Olímpicos al conquistar la plata en peso mosca, en Los Ángeles 1932, cita a la que acudió financiando él mismo su viaje y estadía.
