Frank Russell Parker (born July 1, 1939) is an American television actor.
Biography
Career
Parker is best known as Grandpa Shawn Brady on Days of Our Lives. He had portrayed the character on and off since 1983. Grandpa Shawn died in February 2008 after giving up his oxygen mask to save his son, Bo, on a sabotaged airplane that was going down. He subsequently retired from acting for health reasons the following month. He also had some small roles in Never Too Young, The Young and the Restless and General Hospital.
Personal life
He has three daughters: Candace (1982–99) and twins Lindsay and Danielle (born 1984). He resides in Vacaville, California.
