Fred Oyetayo is a Nigerian lawyer, computer programmer and award winning entrepreneur. He is best known as the founder of Fresible Company Limited. As of January 2014, Oyetayo is the chairman and chief executive of Fresible LTD.[1] He is a law graduate from Afe Babalola University and a consultant with many Nigerian Technology Companies and also one of the Editors of the blog, Techie Magazine.[2] He is best known as one of the youngest Successful Entrepreneurs in Nigeria and he was listed in 2013 as one of the 52 most Influential Nigerian Youths.[3][4]
He launched Fresible in 2010 with only the Developers/ICT Division before expanding Fresible into 6 divisions in 2013[5] He commercialized and globalized Fresible in 2013 and opened the Company's headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria shortly afterwards. In July 2013, Fresible hosted it First Party in Abuja which was warmly received by the residents of the City.[6]
Background
Oyetayo was born in, Nigeria and he attended the prestigious Our lady and St' Francis Catholic College between 2003 and 2009 and Afe Babalola University between 2010-2014 where he graduated with a LL.B degree.
Career
Fred Oyetayo has graced several technological conferences, committees and panels over the last four years. He was a member of the Afe Babalola University Social Committee from 2010 to 2013. He has attended several international technological conferences within and outside Nigeria such as the Mobile Monday Nigeria/Qualcomm Technology Conference [7] in April, 2013. He also participated at the Mobile Monday Nigeria/V Connect Hackhathon Session in June 2013.[8] Oyetayo has graced speaking platforms on universities and in cities across Nigeria and around the world.
His pieces have appeared on several online and print mediums including The Punch, The Torch, etc.
He is the curator of Law Repository, a platform of engagement and value orientation for Nigerian law students, lawyers and para-legals.
Awards and nominations
In 2015, Oyetayo guided Fresible Company Limited into winning the Entertainment Outfit of the Year at the 2015 Splash Awards. Also he won the Metrotaxi Young CEO of the Year at the 2014 PNA Awards and guided Fresible Company Limited into winning the Youth Company of the Year at the same award held at Sheraton Hotel in Lagos. His company was also nominated for the Revelation of the Year Award. In 2013, Oyetayo won the Prestigious Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the Ping Naija Award beating off several other nominees.[9] In the same year, he was nominated for several other awards like Entreperenur of the Year at the 2013 Tush Awards [10] and Youth Entrepreneur of the Year at the Gidi Youth Awards.[11] He was also listed as one of the Most Influential Nigerian Youths in 2013.[3] In March 2014, he was nominated for the 2014 Prodigie Award as the most Enterprising Student in Nigeria along with several others.[12]
In May 2012, he was nominated as the most Creative Individual at Afe Babalola University.
