GADA
The GADA (Global Age-Friendly Design Awards, formerly known as the International Design Awards) is an international design competition that was started in Singapore in 2008.[1] Organized by Greater than 60 (Singapore's National Design Centre for Ageing), the theme for GADA 2010 was called "Redefining Age".
Judging Criteria
The competition has 2 categories: Professional and Students. Participants are required to submit ideas on products that will improve the lifestyles of the elderly. Entries are judged based on:
- Innovativeness
- Creativeness
- Value added and manufacturability
- Target market relevance
- Usability and aesthetics
- Sustainability and environmental-friendliness
