GE Global Research
GE Global Research is the research and development division of General Electric.[1] GE Global Research's primary facility is located in Niskayuna, New York. The Advanced Manufacturing and Software Technology Center (AMSTC) is a satellite facility located in Van Buren, Michigan.[2] GEGR is developing an Oil & Gas Technology Center in Oklahoma City, which focuses on developing technologies to improve the energy, power, and water industries.[3][4] GE Digital, located in San Ramon (California), was started in 2011 to focus corporate efforts on software development,[5] and has since evolved into a separate business unit.[6] Outside the USA, GE Global Research includes laboratories in Bangalore (India), Shanghai (China), Munich (Germany), Tirat Carmel (Israel), and Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).
