Galerida is a genus of birds in the family Alaudidae. Established by Friedrich Boie in 1828, it contains the following extant species:[1]
- Crested lark, Galerida cristata
- Maghreb lark, Galerida macrorhyncha
- Thekla lark, Galerida theklae
- Malabar lark, Galerida malabarica
- Sun lark, Galerida modesta
- Sykes's lark, Galerida deva
- Large-billed lark, Galerida magnirostris
In addition, there are at least two fossil species which are included in this genus:
- Galerida bulgarica (late Pliocene of Varshets, Bulgaria)[2]
- Galerida pannonica (Pliocene of Csarnota, Hungary)[3]
