George Connell (mayor)

George H. Connell (1871 – October 22, 1955, Philadelphia) was a U.S. Republican politician.

On August 19, 1939, Connell, then president of City Council, became the 113th Mayor of Philadelphia upon the death of Mayor Samuel Davis Wilson.[1][2]
