Giáy people
The Giáy (Vietnamese: ngÆ°á»i Giáy) are an ethnic group in Vietnam who speak the Bouyei language. Most live in the Là o Cai, Hà Giang, Lai Châu, and Cao Bằng provinces of northern Vietnam. In 1999 the population was 49,098.
They serve dishes called lạp siá»ng and lò nùng. They sing vÆ°Æ¡ng and phÆ°á»›n. They celebrate the Roóng Poá»c festival on the snake day of the first lunar month.
