Golden is an unincorporated community in Wood County, Texas, United States about thirty-five miles north of Tyler. It is best known for its sweet potatoes.

Sweet Potato Festival
Every fourth Saturday in October, the town hosts a Sweet Potato Festival. This celebration has been featured twice on The Oprah Winfrey Show.[2][3]
