Goose Creek Township is a township in Piatt County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2010 census, its population was 790 and it contained 355 housing units.[1]

Ameren's Goose Creek Energy Center, a combustion turbine generator (CTG) power plant, is located in Goose Creek Township.[2]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 56.32 square miles (145.9 km2), of which 56.3 square miles (146 km2) (or 99.96%) is land and 0.01 square miles (0.026 km2) (or 0.02%) is water.[1]
