Expansion
A new 2,500 meter runway with 45 meters width will be built on a 40 hectares leasing of Indonesian Air Force land due to extent the old runway will disturb flights. The project is predicted will be finished in 2015 including terminal and proper fence to avoid cattle in to the airport area.[3]
Incidents
On August 6, 2013 Lion Air JT897 hit a cow when landing and the aircraft slipped sideway to the grass, but all 117 passengers including aircraft crews only shocked and no one injured.[4]
