Grim is a borough and district in Kristiansand, Norway. The borough is located north of Kvadraturen, east of Sogndalen, west of Eg and south for Vågsbygd. In business, the brewery for the main beer of the city and county, Vest-Agder, Christianssands Bryggeri is located at south of Grim. Grim church is the only church in the Grim district and was built in 1969 and is located near Idda Arena, an arena used by all kinds of sports and teams.

Grim district consist by Tinnheia, Hellemyr, Mosby, Strai and Grim itself. While Tinnheia, Hellemyr and Grim is more a part of the city and has a series of numbers of apartments, Mosby and Strai is more of agriculture. The district has a population of 5,200.

In the borough its population is 5,200 (2013). Although in the district, Grim includes Tinnheia, Hellemyr, Mosby and Strai which make the population ca 16,000 (2013).

Grim borough is the 3rd most populous place for immigrants in Kristiansand with 22% of the population and 19% in the district. 5% of the immigrants are from Europe and North-America while 17% is from Africa and Asia. Grim is known for large white houses.

Grim has two elementary schools, Solhomen and Krossen elementary. Grim is located with one junior high, Grim School which is for students in the entire Grim district. The closest high schools are at Kvadraturen.

Bus

The main public transport is bus, bus lines 15 Tinnheia-Kvadraturen, 32 Høietun-Kvadraturen and 30 Vennesla-Kristiansand goes through Grim, while 13 Grimsyra-Lund and 19 Suldalen-UiA covers most of Grim and ends there. The railroad in to Kristiansand is build through Grim, it's the only way in for trains but the closest stop is Kristiansand Station, the main train station for the city.

Train

The railroad goes through Grim from Songdalen next to Hellemyr and Norwegian National Road 9 before entering Kristiansand Station. The railroad eastbound continues through entire Grim to Vennesla Station. There are no stops between.
