Hartenberg-Münchfeld, colloquially known as HaMü, is the student quarter of Mainz, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Created in the 1989 reorganisation of Mainz, the sector currently has a population of nearly 15,000 citizens.[1]
It is north of the University of Mainz, and many of the city's 35,000 students live there. Also resident in HaMü is the regional TV station Südwestrundfunk, a subsidiary of the Deutsche Bundesbank and the Stadion am Bruchweg former home of first league football club 1. FSV Mainz 05. Famous residents include Nobel Prize Winner Paul J. Crutzen and fashion designer Anja Gockel.
