Performance
The school has consistently exceeded expectations for examinations results for its intake range of students. When the DfE (then DCSF) in 2008 established a minimum threshold of 30% of students attaining 5+ GCSEs including English and Maths for all schools, to be achieved by 2011, Hartsdown immediately surpassed the standard with 32% of students reaching this level in 2009, followed by 43% in 2010.[1] This figure rose to 44% in 2011, 46% in 2012, and 51% in 2013, but fell to 19% in 2014.
