Henrik Hansen, better known by his in-game name Froggen is a Danish professional League of Legends player who is currently the Mid Laner for Echo Fox of the North American League of Legends Championship Series (LCS NA). He has also played for CLG.EU, Evil Geniuses, Alliance, and Elements. Froggen helped CLG.EU finish third at the Season 2 World Championship. Anivia is often considered his signature champion.
Early life
Hansen was born in Denmark on 21 February 1994. Since his childhood, Henrik “Froggen” Hansen has played games such as Counter-Strike and Warcraft 3. Froggen was introduced to League of Legends by his brother. Mechanics and lane dominance are two aspects of Froggen’s gameplay that he believes will set him above the rest, and secure victories for his team.
Career
2012
CLG.EU finished 3rd at the Season 2 World Championship.
2013
In January Froggen signed with Evil Geniuses and moved to Berlin at their gaming house.
Evil Geniuses qualified for the inaugural spring split of the EU LCS. In the regular season EG finished 4th with a 15-13 record, qualifying them for the playoffs. In the playoffs EG got 3rd.
In December 2013, Froggen joined a new squad under the banner of esports team Alliance, who took Evil Geniuses spot in the European LCS when EG moved to the NA LCS.
2014
In the 2014 spring split Froggen and Alliance got 3rd in the regular season with 16-12. In the playoffs they got fourth place.
Alliance went 21-7 in the summer regular season and finished in first. In the playoffs they also took first after beating fnatic in the finals, earning them an invitation to the 2014 League of Legends World Championship.
At worlds Alliance unexpectedly went 3-3 in their group failed to make bracket, ending up in 9-12th place overall.
2015
After a change in LCS rules, the Alliance LoL squad was required to rebrand itself and leave the organization. The team subsequently became known as Elements.
Elements finished 7th in the spring season, missing the playoffs.[1] Elements again finished 7th in the summer LCS.
In November Elements released all of their players save for Froggen and Nyph.
Froggen was voted by fans to appear in the 2015 All Stars in Los Angeles in December.[2] At the event he had a 1v1 exhibition match against reigning world champion SK Telecom T1's Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok where he won.[3]
2016
On January 2 he moved to Southern California to join Echo Fox of the League of Legends Championship Series North America.[4]
