Herrington Manor State Park is a Maryland state parks on 365 acres (148 ha) in Garrett County. The focal point of the park is a 53-acre (21 ha) lake formed by the damming of Herrington Creek. Development of the park began in the 1930s as a project of the Civilian Conservation Corps. Herrington Manor was established as a state park in 1964 and offers visitors swimming, fishing, boating, hiking, and 20 rental cabins.[4] The adjacently located Swallow Falls State Park is managed in conjunction with Herrington Manor.
