New Germany State Park is a 455-acre (184 ha) Maryland state park adjacent to Savage River State Forest in Garrett County.
Activities and amenities
- Lake: The park's 13-acre (5.3 ha) lake is used for boating (electric motors), canoeing, fishing and swimming. A boat launch and kayak rentals are available.
- Trails: The park has 10 miles (16 km) of multi-use trails for hiking, biking and cross-country skiing.
- Accommodations: The park offers 11 rental cabins and 48 unimproved campsites.
- There is also a nature center, campfire programs, snack bar, picnicking facilities, shelters, and sites of historic interest.[3]
