Hester Maclean

Hester Maclean (25 February 1859 2 September 1932) was a New Zealand nurse, hospital matron, nursing administrator, editor and writer. She was born in Sofala, New South Wales, Australia on 25 February 1859.[1] She was one of the inaugural nurses to receive the Florence Nightingale Medal.[2]
