The squad list includes only the principal nationality of each player; several non-European players on the squad have dual citizenship with an EU country. In January 2015 they offered a contract to convicted rapist Ched Evans until the end of the Maltese season.[3] This was blocked by the Ministry of Justice in the UK since, as a convicted sex offender on licence, Evans was barred from working abroad.
