In 2012, HiPipo launched the "HiPipo Charts Festival" an annual event with the theme “Celebrating and Promoting Uganda Music Online Performance” with the first ever Mobile Web Voting in Uganda.

Mobile

In 2012, HiPipo launched a mobile version that provides social entertainment already accessible on desktop to the majority of Africans who do not have personal computer access. The mobile version hosts the first of its kind mobile web voting in East Africa for the first Annual HiPipo Charts Festival.

Music Awards

The inaugural HiPipo Music Awards (HMA)[6][7] event was held on February 9, 2013 at Theatre La Bonita. It was sponsored by Pepsi, WBS and The Red Pepper. HMA is an annual awards project and event.

Digital Impact Awards Africa

Digital Impact Awards Africa (DIAA)[8] is a platform that promotes Digital inclusion, financial inclusion and Cybersecurity under the theme Maximizing the Digital Dividend. The Awards seek to recognize and appreciate different organizations that are spearheading the use of digital mediums in this respect.
