Holendry, Łódź Voivodeship

(Голендра, the Dutchman)-a village in Ukraine in the area of podhajeckim Ternopil region. In 2001 it consisted of 308 residents.

Holendry extend in a northerly direction along the river flowing beard of Mużyłowa. Rub shoulders with other villages (formerly suburbs) Podhajec called Staremiasto and Halych. Holendry-Halicz (Halych-Holendry) were in the nineteenth century one municipality having a joint council and one mayor. In 1870, the village has a population of 707 inhabitants. In 1896, according to Nicholas Halitsch Niedzwiecki-Holendry numbered about 40 rural settlements and inhabited by 712 persons [2]. However, taking into account the survey, carried out by the Austrian Statistical Commission as at 31 December, 1890, in the village Holendry (without Galich) there were 53 houses and a population of 343 people (including 165 women and 178 men) plus the Halych and the total of two villages inhabited by 1,173 people [3]. Today. as of 1 January 2009 the village population of 265 people. In comparison to 1989, when Holendry and population of 308 people, is to a large decline in the population [4].

Holendry [xɔˈlɛndrɨ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Świnice Warckie, within Łęczyca County, Łódź Voivodeship, in central Poland.[1] It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) north-east of Świnice Warckie, 17 km (11 mi) west of Łęczyca, and 47 km (29 mi) north-west of the regional capital Łódź.
