Holmedal Church (Norwegian: Holmedal kyrkje) is a parish church in Kvinnherad municipality in Hordaland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Utåker. The church is part of the Husnes og Holmedal parish in the Sunnhordland deanery in the Diocese of Bjørgvin.[1][2]

History

There has been a church in Utåker since the Middle Ages. The church is first named in historical records in 1360 and at that time the church was not new. That church was a stave church. It was eventually torn down and the present white, wooden church was built in 1882. The church seats about 200 people.[3]
