The Honda CBR150R is a 150 cc class (lightweight) sport bike, which is part of the Honda CBR series manufactured by Honda, a subsidiary of A.P. Honda in Thailand and Astra Honda Motor in Indonesia. Built as the successor to the 2-stroke Honda NSR 150, this bike has been sold in Thailand market starting from 2002 and they have been exported to many Asian countries and South Africa. Honda Thailand produces new PGM-FI (Fuel-injection) version in 2010, but the power of PGM-FI version is lower than the old carburetor version. In 2010, Honda Thailand introduced a CBR150R with PGM-FI fuel-injection.[1] The CBR150R went on sale in India in March 2012.[2]

1st Gen of Thailand Variant

This bike has an analog instrument panel with fuel gauge, speedometer, odometer, tachometer, temperature gauge and turn signal indicator and high beam headlight indicator.

2nd Gen of Indonesian Variant ( K45G )

The instrument panel of this variant is getting major change. The whole panel of is changed to digital panel. The new instrument panel has been added with a gear position indicator, fuel consumption information.[3]

Indonesian variant

1st generation (K45A)

On September 2014, Astra Honda Motor Indonesia released their own version of CBR150R (codename : K45) for Indonesia market. This model is based on CBR1000RR Fireblade and is targeted to replace CBR150R Thai version. Previously, Indonesia relied on importation of the Thai version for its market.[4]


2nd Generation of Indonesian Variant (K45G)

AHM Indonesia released new major update on 15 February 2016 in Jakarta. Updates includes new design, LED lighting system, and new dashboard design.[5] The engine is replaced with common engine with the all new CB150R. The torque of this generation is the biggest of the CBR150R series which is 13,7 Nm (Factory Claim). This generation of CBR150R is the lightest of it's generation, the weight is reduced by 8 Kilograms.[6]
