Hongqiao Railway Station Station (simplified Chinese: 虹桥火车站站; traditional Chinese: 虹橋火車站站; pinyin: Hóngqiáo Huǒchēzhàn Zhàn) is an interchange station between Line 2 and Line 10 of the Shanghai Metro. The station entered operation on 1 July 2010,[1] nearly four months after the opening of the line's Hongqiao extension. It is located near Hongqiao International Airport and a railway station of the same name. The Line 10 section of the station commenced operation on 30 November of the same year.
From the 2010–2020 metro construction plan, 3 new metro lines are planned to start from this station; they are Line 17 via Baoshan Industry Park to Gongqing Forest Park, Line 20, to Qingpu and Line 5 to Xinzhuang.
