Hopen Church (Norwegian: Hopen kirke) is a parish church in Smøla Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located in the village of Hopen, along the northern coast of the island of Smøla. The church is part of the Hopen parish in the Ytre Nordmøre deanery in the Diocese of Møre. The white, wooden church was built in 1892 by the architect Adolph Schirmer. The church seats about 260 people. The church was the main church for the old municipality of Hopen. Hopen municipality was merged into Smøla in 1960 and today this is one of three churches for the municipality of Smøla.[1][2]
