Kvernes Church (Norwegian: Kvernes kyrkje) is a parish church in Averøy Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located in the village of Kvernes on the southeastern coast of the island of Averøya. The church is part of the Kvernes parish in the Ytre Nordmøre deanery in the Diocese of Møre. The white wooden church was built in 1893 by the architect A.K. Thoresen. The church was built to replace the Kvernes Stave Church which was too small for the congregation. The old stave church was built in the 14th century and it is still standing immediately north of this church. The present church seats about 350 people.[1]
