Hot, dust-obscured galaxies
Hot, dust-obscured galaxies, or Hot DOGs, are a rare type of quasar.[1][2][3] These galaxies emit large amounts of radiation in the infrared. Only 1 out of every 3,000 quasars observed by Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer are of this type.[1]
