Hovk (Armenian: Հովք, also Romanized as Hovk’ and Hovq; formerly, Aghkikhlu and Samed Vurghun between 1978-1991) is a town in the Tavush Province of Armenia. The town was renamed for a while in honor of Azeri poet and dramatist Samed Vurghun (1906-1956), winner of the Lenin Prize.[1]
