Huntingfield is a suburb of the greater Hobart area, capital of Tasmania, Australia. It is just south of Kingston. The area was created in the late 1980's. Located in Huntingfield are Tarremah Steiner School and Kingborough Family Church.

Huntingfield was from its inception designated a better place to live in the glossy brochures released in the late 80's. The premise of the suburb was a "garden concept" with upmarket appeal and all homes where to be of different material so as not to create the "lots of boxes stacked next to or on top of each other effect". with beauty and road design that worked in with the slightly undulating and sloping gardens, Huntingfield is commonly referred to as one of the most beautiful looking suburbs planned.

With only about 200 houses in the Suburb of Huntingfield (postcode 7055) a fair amount of the residents at least know each other.

Water views of North West Bay, Peter Murrell Reserve, Upper Kingston (Redwood over a bushland valley) and Mt Wellington and farm paddocks close by surround Huntingfield's resident’s panoramic views.

Some excerpts from the "Imagine Life at Huntingfield brochure" advertising in the very late 1980's

The garden concept has been expanded to a complete parkland township at Huntingfield.

The emphasis in this new concept is in residential development, is on visual beauty, in both parks and gardens and the design of houses. Those who have the foresight to recognize the potential of Huntingfield will be well regarded as their suburb becomes a Showpiece of Tasmania.

Huntingfield also has a tri-fold glossy brochure that was titled "A Guideline to the Future" that included guidelines for maintaining the quality of the suburb, The guidelines that are in this brochure are as follows, and the brochure expanded in detail on each of the following guidelines.

- Minimum Residence Size

- Plans (House plans Floor elevations, site plan)

- Building Materials

- Fencing

- Pipes

- Antennas

- Solar Heaters

- Site Management During Building Construction
