Elections to Hyndburn Borough Council were held on 6 May 2010. One third of the council was up for election and the Conservative party stayed in overall control of the council with the help of at least one Independent councillor. Since there was also the General Election being held on the same day, voter turnout was much higher than usual local election turnouts.
