Mister Indonesia or (IMP Mister Indonesia) is only the name of national male pageant competition held by Indonesia Male Pageants Organization (IMP Organization), while the official title winner of this competition is MISTER INDONESIA. Mister Indonesia was a pageant held by Mister Indonesia Organization in 2007 but that organization doesn't exist anymore that make the Government of Indonesia legalize Mister Indonesia as official title from this competition. Mister Indonesia by IMP Organization is a Young role model search that specifically helped promoting Youth Issues. While in general,Mister Indonesia should be able to be active man who can inspires others.
The reigning Mister Indonesia 2015 is Damian Ronny Chandra. He will represent Indonesia to Mister Worldwide 2015 in USA. Start next year, the winner of IMP MISTER INDONESIA 2016 will represent Indonesia to Mister Universal Ambassador, a male pageant produced and owned by IMP Organization. IMP Organization holds 5 licenses : Mister Universal Ambassador, Men Universe Model, Mister Worldwide, Mister United Continents and Mister Model International.
History
IMP Mister Indonesia was previously well-known as Mister Photogenic Indonesia, and in the beginning of 2015 it's changed as IMP Mister Indonesia.The pageant was founded in 2015 by Edin Muhammad, Founder of Indonesia Male Pageants Organization (IMP Organization). Mister Indonesia event was conceptualized like Mr.Universal Ambassador, International level contest that also belongs to IMP Organization. Thus, all the contestants will compete in a very competitive level, where not only the talent that became the focus of assessment, but also aspects of Sport, Communications, Modeling, and intellectual.
IMP Mister Indonesia first edition was held in 2014, on 4 to 10 December in Bali. There were 12 contestants selected to represent number of provinces. IMP first edition was held at Bhumiku Ballroom . Came out as champions in the first edition was Damian Ronny Chandra, representative of West Kalimantan. He was directly crowned by the founder of IMP Organization.
IMP Mister Indonesia has officially owned Mister Indonesia, Mister Teen Indonesia and Mister Universal Ambassador.

Competition formats
There are 6 official competitions in this pageant : SPORT COMPETITION, SPEECH COMPETITION, TEEN TOP MODEL, TALENT, MULTIMEDIA, INTERVIEW and PSYCHOLOGY TEST. The number of highest points from these competitions will be semifinalist during final night. On final night, Semifinalist will compete in modeling and stage interview.

In 2014 Mister Indonesia previously called as Mister Global Indonesia, it is because of the pageant has only handled Mister Global franchise. Since 2015 the pageant officially renamed as Mister Indonesia at the press conference.[1]

In 2014 there is no runner-up in Mister Indonesia. Since 2015 the 1st Runner-up announced and automatically became the Mister Indonesia Universal Ambassador. This title will represent Indonesia at the Mister Universal Ambassador pageant.
