The 2009 Skate America was the Skate America Grand Prix competition of the 2009–10 season. It was the fifth event of six in the 2009–10 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, a senior-level international invitational competition series. The event was organized by the United States Figure Skating Association. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Skaters earned points towards qualifying for the 2009–10 Grand Prix Final.

The 2009 competition was held in Lake Placid, New York from November 12 through 15.[1] The title sponsor was Cancer.Net.[2] The compulsory dance was the Golden Waltz.
