India Foundation
India Foundation (IF) is a New Delhi based think-tank started in 2009, that focuses on the Indian polity.[1] Along with the Vivekananda International Foundation, it is considered to be a right-wing think-tank closely aligned with the Prime Minister Modi led Government of India.[2]
Members
India Foundation's members include Union ministers Suresh Prabhu, Nirmala Sitharaman, Jayant Sinha; RSS leader Ram Madhav, BJP leader M.J. Akbar, along with NSA Ajit Doval's son, Shaurya Doval.[3][4]
Centres
The IF has three Centres:[5]-
- Centre for Study of Religion and Society (CSRS)
- Centre for Security and Strategy (CSS)
- Centre for Constitutional and Legal Studies (CCLS)
Events
The IF has four core events every year:[6]-
- The "India Ideas Conclave" is an attempt to create a new 'ecosystem of the intellectual right'
- The "Counter Terrorism Conference" saw the cream of the security establishment and global experts participate
- The "Indian Economy Convention" was addressed by Narendra Modi just before 2014 elections
- The "Dharma-Dhamma conference" brought together 'oriental religions', Hinduism and Buddhism.
