India competed at the 2004 Summer Paralympics in Athens, Greece. The team included twelve athletes—eleven men and one woman.[1] Indian competitors won two medals at the Games, one gold and one bronze, to finish joint 53rd in the medal table.[2]
Medalists
Devendra Jhajharia,[3] Javelin thrower, won gold and Rajinder Singh won bronze for powerlifting in the 56-kg category. India finished 53rd out of the 136 nation field.
