State Road 931 (SR 931) is an Indiana State Road that runs through Kokomo in the US state of Indiana. The highway passes through commercial and residential properties and farmland. SR 931 was designated in 2013, and replaced the former route of U.S. Route 31 through Kokomo, much of which itself was built as a bypass in 1952, the original US 31 now Washington Street traversing north-south through central Kokomo.[1]

Route description

SR 931 begins at an interchange with US 31 south of Kokomo, between Tipton County Road 600 North and 700 North. The road continues north passing through farmland and residential properties, before having an intersection with SR 26. North of SR 26, the road passes through commercial properties, having an intersection with SR 22. The road continues north having an intersection with US 35. SR 931 ends at an interchange with US 31 north of Kokomo.

History

On November 26, 2013, US 31 was rerouted onto a new bypass around Kokomo[4] and in preparation of its opening US 31 along the old bypass was redesignated SR 931.[1]
