Ishani Shrestha (Nepali: इशानी श्रेष्ठ   Listen ) (born May 5 1991) is a Nepali beauty pageant titleholder who the winner of Miss Nepal 2013 and Miss Best Walk subtitle holder.[1] She represented Nepal in Miss World 2013 in Bali, Indonesia where she made history by securing top 10 position and winning the Beauty with a Purpose title.[2][3]

Early life

Ishani was born and raised in the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu. She has three younger siblings. She attended Triyog High School, Kathmandu. She then migrated to Boulder, Colorado and attended Fairview High School. She then attended the Business school in University Of Colorado.

Education

Ishani did her primary education from Triyog High School, Kathmandu Nepal. She did her high school from Fairview High School, Boulder Colorado. She attended University of Colorado for Business. She also studied Dental Surgeon in People's Dental College, Kathmandu Nepal.

Career

She is now a well established media personality, model, and a business entrepreneur. She also worked as Young Conservation Ambassador for World Wildlife Fund in Nepal.

Miss World 2013

Ishani is the winner of the title "Beauty with Purpose 2013" which is one of the most regarded and prestigious title of the Miss World. She was given this award for her outstanding video presentation and social work in which she traveled to the rural places of Nepal to promote and raise awareness to people on Oral Hygiene. Ishani was one of the eleven contestants who got opportunity to showcase their country's culture dance in Miss World 2013. She danced her heart out on the song, "Maiti Ghar" for the Dances of the World. She was the second runner up for Multi Media in Miss World 2013 and also was finalists in several different competitions.

She has also been placed as the 2nd runner-up for the title The Peoples' Champion (Multimedia) at Miss World 2013.[4] She made it to the top 10 finalists of Miss World 2013; the furthest a Nepalese girl has ever reached.
