Itaí is a municipality in the state of São Paulo in Brazil. The population is 26,042 (2015 est.) in an area of 1083 km².[1] The elevation is 614 m. This place name comes from the Tupi language, "Itaí" means river stone. The Tropic of Capricorn crosses the city of Itaí.
