Jalal Keshmiri (Persian: جلال کشمیری), (25 March 1939 – 6 February 1999) was an Iranian shot putter and discus thrower who competed in the 1968 Summer Olympics.[1]

After moving to the United States, he went by the name Joe Keshmeri. Competing in the masters division with a birthdate one year earlier than listed, he briefly held the masters M60 world record in the shot put. He has held the M60 American record in the Discus Throw since 1998.

His son Kamy Keshmiri competed for the United States in the discus throw, winning the Gatorade High School Athlete of the Year, setting the National High School Record, a silver medal at the 1988 World Junior Championships in Athletics, a gold at the 1989 Summer Universiade, and a silver at the 1990 Goodwill Games before his career was cut off by doping violations.[2]
