Jalin Wood (born June 1, 1981) is a beauty queen from Waynesboro, Mississippi, who has competed in the Miss America pageant and competed in the Miss USA pageant in 2007.
Wood won the Miss Mississippi title in a state pageant held June 23–26, 2006 at the Vicksburg Convention Center, in Vicksburg, Mississippi. It was her second attempt at the title, as she placed fourth runner-up the previous year. She represented Mississippi in the Miss America 2005 pageant held in September 2004 but did not win any special scholarships or place in the nationally televised pageant. Her performance talent was piano.
In 2006, Wood returned to the pageant stage and won the Miss Mississippi USA pageant, held in Cleveland on November 11.[1] She will represent Mississippi in the Miss USA 2007 pageant to be held in the spring of 2007 at an as-yet unannounced location and will be the second Miss America 2005 delegate competing in this pageant.
Wood graduated as salutorian from Wayne Academy in 1999 and is a summa cum laude with High honors graduate of Mississippi College with a degree in chemistry.[2] Wood is a champion quarter horse exhibitor.[2]
