James A. Firestone

James Firestone is an American businessman.[1][2] He is the executive vice president and president of corporate operations at Xerox.[1][2][3][4]

Career

Early life

He was born on October 8, 1954 in Huntington, New York.[1] He graduated from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University with a BA in International Economics and received a master's degree in Management from Yale University.[2][3]

Career

He began his career at American Express in 1978, where he worked until 1993.[4] He then worked as general manager of the Consumer Division at IBM and as President of Consumer Services at the Ameritech Corporation.[3][4]

He began working at Xerox in 1998 and has held positions including head of Xerox's channels group, chief strategy officer and President of Xerox North America (2004-2008).[2][3]

He sits on the Board of Directors of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and the Nomura Partners Fund.[1][3][4] He sits on the Board of Trustees of the Yale University Center of Customer Insights.[3]
