Jamesan (formerly, Jamison and Jameson)^[2] is an unincorporated community in Fresno County, California.^[1] It is located on the Southern Pacific Railroad 8 miles (13 km) west of Kerman,^[2] at an elevation of 177 feet (54 m).^[1]

Jamison post office opened in 1893, the name was changed to Jameson in 1911, and the post office closed in 1912.^[2] The name honors J.G. James, its first postmaster.^[2]
