Jani Virtanen (born March 1, 1977 in Tampere, Finland) is a professional Finnish ice hockey player.
He is currently playing for the Hull Stingrays of the Elite Ice Hockey League. His former clubs are Tappara, Hermes, HPK, FPS, SaiPa, Espoo Blues (all in Finland), Färjestads BK (Sweden), Bakersfield Condors (ECHL), SG Brunico and SG Kaltern (Italy), Mulhouse (France), Malmö Redhawks (Sweden) and Esbjerg (Denmark).
