Japan, Missouri

Coordinates: 38°14′21″N 91°18′22″W / 38.2392150°N 91.3059819°W / 38.2392150; -91.3059819[1] Japan is an unincorporated community in Franklin County, in the U.S. state of Missouri.[1]

History

A post office called Japan was established in 1860, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1908.[2] The community was named after the country of Japan.[3]
