Jasieniec [jaˈɕeɲet͡s] (German: Eschenwalde) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Trzciel, within Międzyrzecz County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) west of Trzciel, 19 km (12 mi) south-east of Międzyrzecz, 51 km (32 mi) north-east of Zielona Góra, and 58 km (36 mi) south-east of Gorzów Wielkopolski.
Prior to 1945 it was in Germany. After World War II the region was placed under Polish administration and ethnically cleansed according to the post-war Potsdam Agreement. The native German populace was expelled and replaced with Poles.
