Jessica White (born June 21, 1984) is an International model / Actress / Singer / Songwriter.

Early life and education

White was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. At the age of 15 White lived in Europe till the age of 18.[Paris/London/Milan] Moved back to New York until late 2014. She is now currently living in Los Angeles. She attended Kensington High School.[2][2] [3][4][5][6]

Career

At the age of 13, White was scouted in her hometown of Buffalo, New York, and had gone to Personal Best modeling school at age sixteen. After modeling for one week, her first job was an editorial for Vogue after meeting Anna Wintour.[7] In Paris, she signed a contract with the IMG agency.

White is well known for being the first African American in the world to have 2 consecutive cosmetic contracts. Signing with Covergirl at the age of 16 , and another with Maybelline at the age of 23.

She started modeled for Sports Illustrated in 2003. Which made her the first Woman of color to be in the magazine 10 years back to back. She has also modeled for Joanne Gair's body painting works in these editions.[8][9]

In 2006, White had a role in Big Momma's House 2 and has appeared in music videos for Big & Rich, singer John Legend, rapper Jay-Z (Change Clothes), Robin Thicke (The Sweetest Love), and ex Boyfriend Trey Songz (Neighbors Know My Name). In 2008 she appeared in The Young and the Restless. On October 14, 2009, White appeared on America's Next Top Model. In 2015 White stared in Real Husbands of Hollywood season 3 ep.10[Model behavior]. On 2016 she had a recurring role in Bet's new sitcom "Zoe Ever After". Also in 2016 White appeared in the film "The Perfect Match".

Personal life

White has recently changed her name to Jypsy White after finding meditation through spiritual work and nature.
